- FOCUS AREA
Our Key Focus Areas
Our initiatives are implemented across Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, with focused interventions in Dehradun, Sitarganj, Lucknow, Barabanki, and Ayodhya, selected based on community need and proximity to TATL’s operations. TA Foundation currently supports projects across four thematic pillars:
According to NFHS-5, Uttar Pradesh faces a high burden of child undernutrition: 39.7% of children under five are stunted, 17.3% wasted, and 32.1% underweight, while only 6.1% of children aged 6–23 months receive a minimum adequate diet. Preventable visual impairment also remains significant in India, with cataract causing 66.2% of blindness. TA Foundation therefore focuses on improving access to nutritious food and enabling preventive and corrective healthcare through early diagnosis and treatment.
Crimes against children have increased across India, with Uttar Pradesh recording one of the highest absolute numbers of cases. According to India Today (Dec 10, 2024), of 1.17 million children identified as out-of-school in 2024–25, about 67% were from Uttar Pradesh. TA Foundation’s interventions address these challenges by strengthening learning continuity and safety, improving at-home study conditions, and building practical digital and life skills for adolescents and youth.
Rural communities often lack reliable public lighting on roads, lanes, and shared spaces, limiting safe mobility after dark and increasing safety risks. Solar street lighting provides a practical, cost-effective last-mile solution that improves visibility and safety while supporting decentralized clean energy. TA Foundation therefore supports solar street lighting in underserved rural areas to enhance public safety and promote sustainable energy adoption.
Persons with disabilities, the world’s largest minority, face limited institutional support in India and widespread inaccessibility in the built environment. At the same time, India’s ageing population is projected to reach 20.8% by 2050 (UNFPA India Ageing Report 2023). TA Foundation invests in inclusive infrastructure enabling access to therapy, education, skill development, and safe community participation, while strengthening care and shelter systems for vulnerable senior citizens.
Healthcare Initiatives
COVID Relief Support
During the pandemic, TA Foundation aided communities by distributing pulse oximeters, masks, and sanitizers, while also installing an oxygen generation plant at hospitals to strengthen critical medical infrastructure during a time of severe public health crisis.
Oxygen Plant Installation for Hospitals
Support was extended to State Government Hospital Lohaghat and Nishat Hospital in Lucknow through installation of a 167 LPM or 10 NM3 per hour oxygen generation plant, enhancing their ability to deliver uninterrupted oxygen supply for essential patient care.
Community Kitchen for Vulnerable Groups
TA Foundation assisted “Ehsaas” in constructing a community kitchen that provides nutritious and affordable meals in a supportive environment for people in need, helping communities access dignified food services while encouraging learning and social well-being.
Eye Care and Cataract Surgery Support
Support to “Kalyanam Karoti” enabled an eye camp for cataract surgeries at Shri Deenbandhu Netra Chikitsalaya in Ayodhya, helping restore vision for underserved individuals and improving access to essential eye care services for vulnerable communities.
Mid-Day Meal Support for Students
Support to The Akshaya Patra Foundation helped provide mid-day meals to students studying in Government Primary Schools in Lucknow, contributing to improved classroom nutrition, better attendance, and a healthier learning environment for young children.
Education Initiatives
Established two Digital Learning Centres reaching over 600 young adults, equipping them with digital skills, financial literacy, communication and career readiness, building pathways from education to employability. The program saw a 100% completion rate, boasting an attendance rate of more than 80% and significant post course placements.
Supported two year-round learning centres in Barabanki and Kutubpur, for 240+ children between the age group of 3-18 years from urban slums of Uttar Pradesh, to make them self-sustainable through education, socio-emotional strengthening, vocational training and post- school support including creative and cognitive development, computer literacy and job-oriented skills. Of these, with the support of this intervention, 88% were enrolled into formal schools.
TA Foundation distributed 1,000 DESKIT waterproof convertible school bags, designed by Prosoc Innovators, to students across 26 Government Primary Schools. These innovative bags convert into portable study desks, creating stable writing surfaces for children without furniture and enabling more comfortable, focused learning at home and school.

- ENVIRONMENT
Solar Street Lighting Initiative
TA Foundation installed semi-integrated solar street lights, improving public safety, reducing energy costs, and promoting clean, renewable energy solutions across villages in Sitarganj, Uttarakhand.
- INFRASTRUCTURE
Infrastructural Interventions
The Latika Center of Influence & Inclusion (Dehradun) is a 50,000 sq. ft. purpose-built campus designed to universal accessibility standards, serving 400 children and adults with special needs annually through integrated therapy, special education, and vocational training. Support has been extended for development of the Inclusive Playground, enabling physical development, motor skills, sensory integration, and cognitive growth.
The Old Age Home in Sitarganj, Uttarakhand, managed by Ashray Sewa Samiti, has been supported through funding for its construction and ongoing operations, ensuring safe shelter, care, and dignified living conditions for senior citizens without family support.
